A powerful Blog is an excellent way to increase traffic to your website, they help you by:

  • Having an easy way to add content to your site
  • Making it easier for the reader to find content on your site (by categories)
  • Allowing a reader to subscribe to your posts automatically (with RSS feeds)
  • Giving search engines an easy way to crawl (read) your content
  • Letting search engines notice that you have updated content on a periodic basis (helps with rankings)

Content! Content! Content!

A good blog will have a lot of content and will be updated on a periodic basis, at least at least a couple time a week. A static blog looks pathetic and will generate negative results. Location! Location! Location!

Most bloggers today have their blogs separate from their websites. For example, they have their website on: www.agentx.com and then their blog on: agentx.blogspot.com - we agree that is better than having no blog, but the most effective would be to have them both on 1 location. That way you can promote both at the same time. It also makes it easier for potential customers to go through your your blog and the other parts of your site (listing inventory, area information, bio information, etc...). This way, a reader can more easily become a promising lead; also, having them both in 1 location should help search engines rank your website higher, therefore bringing more traffic to YOU.


Publish it and bring the traffic

Just like you want leads from your website you want reader on your blog (which will hopefully become leads). Once you start having content on your blog, let the world now about it and let them bring you traffic. First, submit your main blog page to the search engines (see our free submit page). Then submit your blog to the many, many blog aggregator sites out there, you may even send them to more than one site at a time (this process is called "PINGing" in the blog world).
